I found that a dating app has the potential to include so much more information than just profiles and chat rooms.

In the redesign of the Badoo App, I wanted to create an in-app social media hub for users. In the original app design, many users had taken up of their limited bio space to include their various social media account profile names. Rather than waste characters in the bio section of their profile, users are able to interact within the dating app itself.

 

I also wanted to include advice and dating articles for the users to learn more about online dating. When researching dating apps I discovered that there are countless articles online and forums of users inquiring about online dating etiquette. With this feature design, the user has access to the resources provided by dating experts.

 

Along with advice articles, I thought it important that the app include resources regarding safety and cautions to be aware of within the dating space. So users are made aware of the dangers and pitfalls that some may fall into while online dating.
